NDAN is a network of independent community-based disability organisations and groups in New South Wales whose primary purpose is advocacy and/or provision of rights-based information for people with disability. Its members also include other groups and individuals with a demonstrated commitment to advocacy and the empowerment of people with disability.
NDAN aims to:
- strengthen and promote an effective network for the advocacy movement
- defend good advocacy
- promote good advocacy and the rights and needs of people with disability
- build the capacity of advocates and member advocacy organisations by improving the knowledge and skills of advocates
- work collaboratively with other state/territory and national disability advocacy networks.
